About SgCg
We are a group of mixed households, currently 7 adults and 6 children, who have been exploring the possibility of developing a small cohousing project in North London over the last 2 years. Most of us have lived in Stoke Newington for a number of years and have children in local schools.
This site is about our plans to develop the derelict site at 15a Springdale Road into residential housing for our own use. We want to keep local residents informed about our plans and to ensure that it is developed sensitively with regard to their concerns.
In March 2012, we received permission for our proposed scheme, designed by Hackney-based architects Henley Halebrown and Rorrsison. The scheme is for 6 houses surrounding a raised central courtyard with a communal space beneath. The application can be viewed online here, application number 2011/2679. The Design & Access statement is the best place to start for an overview of the scheme.
